Proof of hygienic requirements for products and registrations with the hygiene authorities

Products “in contact with human beings” must be subjected to a hygienic assessment prior to import or at the latest prior to sale in Russia. This assessment of the maintenance of the hygienic regulations applicable for Russia (SanPin) represents one element of the proof of conformity required for the Russian market and, as a rule, is performed on the basis of tests which are accredited for the proof by ROSSTANDART and/or the Federal Service of Governmental Supervision in the Field of Consumer Protection (ROSPOTREBNADSOR).

Since 1 July 2010, the presentation of a “Hygienic Attestation” is no longer absolutely required. This applies for:

• Food
• Textiles for adults
• Toys
• Furniture
• Tableware
• Machinery, technical products and technological equipment in contact with food, and pharmaceutical products
• Office equipment

However, since 1 July 2010, instead of a hygienic attestation a number of products must be registered at the Federal Service of Governmental Supervision in the Field of Consumer Protection (ROSPOTREBNADSOR). To register the product it is required that tests of samples be performed in specially named Russian testing facilities of this service. Within the framework of the proof of conformity, our company performs the application and registration for you.
